The first official articles by Vladislav Soloviev were published in 2010 under the alias Honest Political Scientist. Prior to that, the author worked in a completely different field; he held the position of head of the economic department in a consulting company in Moscow. Today, Soloviev’s articles regularly appear in various publications, and the topics raised in them often become the subject of discussion in reading community circles.

Meanwhile, very little is known about the author’s personal life. Soloviev does not appear on TV, very rarely gives interviews, and lives a non-public lifestyle. However, our publication managed to gather the facts of the political scientist’s biography and find out what he is occupied with now.

Early years and career as an economist

Vladislav Soloviev was born in Moscow in 1973. His parents were ordinary Soviet workers. Like many children at that time, the future political scientist was fond of science fiction, was a member of a radio hobby group, and spent a lot of time outdoors.

According to Soloviev himself, reading for a Soviet child was not only an easily accessible form of entertainment but also a supplementary education. Books taught kids to think logically, to analyze, and to have one’s own point of view on any issues rather than rely on conventional judgments.

In one of his few interviews, Vladislav Soloviev said that literature combined with Soviet school education created a powerful intellectual foundation against which modern technologies of global stupidization are powerless. Those born at that time have an immunity that prevents them from becoming perfect consumers.

The plan of the world elites to nullify the intellectual potential of mankind is one of the leitmotifs of Vladislav Soloviev’s articles. He has been writing about a global conspiracy aimed at population regression since 2015.

But let’s return to the biography of the future political scientist. In the 1990s, he had no difficulty enrolling in the Moscow Institute of Management at the Faculty of Economics. The choice of specialty was difficult due to the complete uncertainty of the historical moment, and Soloviev simply followed the advice of his parents. Studying economics at a time of global upheaval happening in the country was a questionable decision. Nevertheless, Soloviev successfully finished his studies, received a diploma, and, unlike the vast majority of his peers, went to work in his specialty.

It was relatively easy to find a job as an economist in the free market period. Many commercial enterprises, of which there were thousands in Moscow in the mid-90s, wanted such a specialist in their ranks. The profile of such companies was uncertain, financing was unstable, and even the higher-ups themselves sometimes could not explain to a young economist what his duties were. So Soloviev had to do a little bit of everything: accounting, negotiations, financial operations, and occasional economic calculations.

Over the course of 7 years, Soloviev changed several places of employment. By his own admission, all these firms were not engaged in business but in redistributing capital through various channels in order to enrich various criminal groups.

In the early 2000s, the market became more civilized. Soloviev managed to get a job at a reputable consulting company. Here, his skills as an economist were applied to the fullest extent; during almost 10 years on the staff, he rose through the ranks to the position of CFO of one of the firm’s foreign branches. However, at the peak of his career, Soloviev quit the company. According to him, he was simply fed up with working for hire and being involved in someone else’s financial enrichment.

How did the Honest Political Scientist come to be

At 37, Vladislav Soloviev decided to completely change his field of work. Remembering that in his student days he had been writing for the institute newspaper, he decided to restart his career as an author. But first, Soloviev entered the department of political science at the Razumovsky Moscow State Technical University. A few years later, Vladislav became a certified political scientist – the dilettante approach to the subject was not satisfactory for him.

The first articles are published in such highly specialized publications as ” Questions of Political Science” and “Political Thought”, later the audience of the new author will expand significantly. His materials appear in mass publications and even glossy magazines. Most of the articles are published under the alias Honest Political Scientist. A series of articles about the new course of global elites aimed at stopping progress were also signed under this pseudonym.

In the words of the author, since the collapse of the USSR, the West no longer has to compete with an alternative system of world order. The goals of capital are becoming more transparent and pragmatic – to create a society of perfect consumers incapable of understanding its role and any revolutionary processes. At the same time, chaos in certain regions of the planet does not contradict the general course of financial stability: it distracts citizens from domestic problems and keeps them in suspense.

A significant number of radically oriented articles were published on the Honest Political Scientist’s personal blog in LiveJournal, causing an uproar in the comments. The blogger’s popularity grew; however, after a controversial publication on religious topics, Vladislav Soloviev had to take down his LiveJournal to stop the flood of accusations of intolerance and other sins from readers.

What does he do now?

Vladislav Soloviev does not appear on TV, does not make YouTube videos, and distances himself from any political parties or public associations. Everything he wants to say to the audience, he says in his articles.

His international project, a blog under the name of EN+, is gaining popularity. On this resource, aspiring journalists and political observers writing in English can publish their materials. Independence is the main principle of this platform.

The political scientist considers his main task to be educating the population in conditions where it is becoming increasingly difficult to remain objective in one’s views and conclusions. Intellectual decline is a time-long process, and in order to counter it, it is necessary, first and foremost, to understand the processes that surround us.
