Your winter ski trip requires a different packing list than most other trips. Although you should pack your T-shirt bra, you need a variety of undergarments in your suitcase. You may plan to ski, go out to dinner, visit the hot tub and participate in a wide variety of other activities at the resort. You need to pack for function rather than how many days you will be there. Therefore, consider these lingerie items as you pack for your ski trip.
Thermal Underwear
First, you need some high-quality thermal underwear to enjoy your outdoor adventures. You will likely need to layer your clothing; thermal underwear should be one of your layers. These products come in several weights. Consider packing one of each weight so you can switch them out if the temperatures warm or drop.
Choose materials that wick moisture away from your skin. The physical activity involved in skiing will make you sweat, and you don’t want that moisture up against your skin. This moisture will ultimately make you colder. Therefore, a good merino wool or synthetic wool may be best.
Panties
When you choose your panties, find those made with moisture-wicking materials. They should fit well and not droop or pull too tight. Also, choose the style you are most comfortable in. You don’t want to get caught trying to pull underwear out of areas it should not be when you are on the slopes.
Wire Free Sports Bras
You will be moving, twisting and bending on the slopes, so ensure you have a supportive sports bra. Choose one that is wire-free so you aren’t poked and prodded down the slopes. Ensure you bring bras that you would feel comfortable wearing to the gym. They need to provide adequate support and coverage.
Also, avoid fabrics that will fill with sweat or those that can chafe after a while because you may be out on the slopes for eight or more hours at a time.
Socks
While socks may not technically be lingerie, they are undergarments, and they will largely determine how warm you feel. Therefore, choose ski socks that are taller than your boots. Avoid socks that cut off your circulation. However, they should be thick enough to keep you warm. In addition, you should place them over your thermal underwear. Always find the right size so they don’t droop or wrinkle and cause blisters.
Down-Time Options
You will likely have a lot of downtime when you move off the slopes and either relax or get involved in other activities. Be sure you pack a nice outfit for a dinner out, and don’t forget the sexy undergarments to go with it. For these occasions, you may choose those silky, lacy options that would be uncomfortable on the slopes.
Also, don’t forget your loungewear. You may pack a padded or bra-lined tank or wireless bras to layer under a cosy long-sleeve tee and cotton panties for under your pyjama bottoms or jeans. Just choose options you can layer because although you aren’t out on the slopes, it is still cold out there.
Remember the key is functional lingerie. Check out the options available so you can remain comfortable no matter what activities you participate in on your trip.
