Asking for recommendations on where to go in Florida can get overwhelming.

More than 137 million people visited Florida in 2022, but they were dispersed across the state. Disney and the Everglades might attract tourists, but there are plenty of other cities to explore. If you want to plan the best vacation, you should know about all your options.

Check out some of the suggestions below if you need help finding the best places in Florida to visit!

    1. Key West

One of the best places in Florida to visit is surrounded by water and filled with good vibes.

Aside from getting glimpses into the coral reefs and water, there is more to enjoy in the Keys. Caribbean vibes are prominent in Bahama Village and Old Town. After taking in the fresh sea air, you can head into a cigar factory and find a rare flavor.

Each day, you can end the night with the Sunset Celebration, drawing attention to the most important things. If you want to get a drink, head over to Duval Street, Green Parrot, and Sloppy Joe’s Bar are the most exciting attractions!

    2. Orlando

If you’re looking for a fun activity for your Florida vacation, Disney is a great recommendation.

Traveling with the kids is simple when they know what lies ahead. Instead of dreading the trip, their eyes and hearts will be filled with excitement and joy. Disney is the perfect destination and you’ll return home with the best Florida highlights.

Pack comfortable shoes and clothing, but don’t be afraid to get dressed up. There are plenty of clubs, bars, and luxurious cafes to discover.

    3. Naples

There’s nowhere quite like Naples, one of the most luxurious locations in the state.

Naples lies on the Gulf Coast, which creates picturesque sunsets. So many people fall in love with the city that they relocate or retire in the area. There’s beautiful weather outside of hurricane season, so pack plenty of sunscreen.

While you’re in the city, check out the botanical garden and the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. There are also plenty of museums to explore, which will help you learn about the area and wildlife. If you need help finding a place to stay, look at these Florida vacation rentals!

    4. Miami

Whether you’re planning a spring break trip, going for business, or want a fantastic getaway, Miami is the place to visit.

Miami has exciting nightlife, but the city works just as hard as it plays. You can enjoy the local art scene, hit the beaches, or go shopping on your trip, without having to travel all over the state. You can swim with the dolphins or enjoy a yacht tour while getting a sun-kissed tan.

The Everglades are a popular attraction for the area of Miami. The Miami Everglades National Park might have an admission fee, but you can get a glimpse of wildlife in its natural environment.

    5. St. Augustine

If you’re looking for history and adventure, St. Augustine is a wonderful spot to visit.

St. Augustine is known for its Old Jail, Lightner Museum, and Castillo de San Marcos. The town’s architecture was inspired by the Spanish. You can walk the streets and experience the Renaissance, especially by touring the historic landmarks.

This area is the oldest occupied settlement of European and African-American people. St. Augustine is a diverse part of Florida with a rich history and beauty. The local food scene will help you get through the day and you can try some of the region’s favorites.

    6. Crystal River

There’s nowhere more beautiful in Florida than Crystal River.

Crystal River is home to the largest group of manatees on the continent. The cool waters from the Gulf Coast and the warm waters of the rivers, springs, and bays help draw them in. There’s a fun downtown area to explore between trips to the beach, so don’t be afraid to explore.

This is the ideal spot for people who enjoy fishing. You can catch and eat fish from the docks or try a local dish at the restaurants. People from all over the globe come to Crystal River to discover vibrant and active marine life.

    7. Sanibel Island

Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a place to bring the kids, Sanibel Island is an excellent option.

While you sit back and watch the waves crash into the shore, your kids can search for shells in the pristine sand. The sand is white, soft, and enjoyable, even on the hot and humid days that Florida gets. This is one of the best beach towns for tourists and spring breakers.

Compared to many other beach cities, Sanibel Island is more laid back. There’s still a fun nightlife scene, but the main attraction is the beach.

    8. Amelia Island

It can be a challenge to find uncrowded beaches in Florida, but Amelia Island is often overlooked.

Amelia Island is a beautiful spot to stay for families and couples that way to break away from clubbing. The beaches are kept clean, so you can sunbathe, kayak, or play water sports. Aside from the gorgeous views, you can also explore their historic attractions and recreation center.

Many tourists visit Fort Clinch State Park on the island. The best part about vacation here is that you can see it all. The island only holds so many people and attractions, so it’s considered a relaxed environment with welcoming locals.

Luckily, there are plenty of hotels and rentals to reside at, giving you flexibility with your trip. You can spend a few days here before taking the family somewhere new!

Do You Know the Best Places in Florida to Visit?

You must let your preferences guide the way if you want to find the best places in Florida to visit.

Each island, city, and attraction offers something beautiful and unique that will help you break away from the real world. You can relax on the shores, go shopping, or visit the Everglades within the same state. Try to keep an open mind and talk to your group about where they want to go.
