Do you remember rushing home after school or waking up early on Sunday to watch your favourite cartoon show? These shows have been in our lives since childhood. Cartoon characters influence us in different ways. Some bring us a lot of laughter, some sparked our imagination, and some teach us life lessons about love, friendship, perseverance, and courage.

Now, we have all grown up. We have a long list of things and forget to appreciate the little things that have given us joy at some point. However, our mind is a complicated thing that syncs with every character, song, and saying that we used to live with. So, when you flip through different channels on the TV, you might explore the Cartoon Network, and the current cartoon characters would give you nostalgia for the evergreen cartoon shows of your time.

In this article, we’ll share a list of the cartoon characters that have made a place in your heart. Keep reading to explore these characters.

A List of 7 Famous Cartoon Characters of All Time

It is indisputable that cartoon characters play a significant role in nurturing the minds of the younger generation. While cartoon characters have a major shift in the visual quality, there are some old-school evergreen characters that still have the capability to impact the minds.

These are the phenomenal old Cartoon Network cartoon characters, and sometimes teachers ask students to write an essay on the key characteristics of these animated creations. However, students often lack time, making it hard to complete this academic task. In such cases, they can buy essays online from an authentic source to ensure the successful completion of the project on time.

Apart from that, let’s explore the list of famous cartoon characters from which you can pick any character to write an essay on.

    1. Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse is one of the most classic characters of the twentieth century. It is no surprise that it is at the top of our list. This character possessed everything that Walt Disney wanted to portray through this character. Joy, love, charm, and the ability to have fun made him one of the best characters in the animation world.

Additionally, Mickey Mouse has appeared in many movies and entertained several generations since its creation. He has made a place in the hearts of millions of people with his cheerful personality. Initially, Walt Disney did the voice-over of this beloved character; however, after his demise, other artists have fulfilled this duty, such as:

    • Jimmy MacDonald
    • Bret Iwan
    • Wayne Allwine

    2. Tom and Jerry

Tom and Jerry are the longest-running cartoon series in the history of America’s animation world. If you didn’t hear about this cartoon series before, then we’ll tell you that this series has two main characters, a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. The main goal of Tom is to catch Jerry. For this, he set various traps; however, his plans never proved effective, but he never gave up.

This cartoon series made our childhood more memorable with its screams. The best thing about this show is that they were always in their household weaponry fight where Jerry always dumbs Tom. Thus, this show made a special place in the hearts of many people. They say that Tom and Jerry are true friends. Tom only pretends to chase Jerry so his owner would not get a new cat, so he acts as if he doesn’t like Jerry.

    3. Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is an evergreen Cartoon Network cartoon character we have grown to love. Warner Bros. created this character for a short animated film named Looney Tunes. This character was famous for his cool demeanour, witty replies, and sarcastic humour, which has entertained the audience for over eight decades.

After such a long time, this character is still one of the most beloved characters in the animation world. There are many voices behind the Bugs Bunny character; however, it was originally done by the legendary voice actor Mel Blanc.

After his death, this voice-over was done by multiple actors like

    • Billy West
    • Jeff Bergman
    • Greg Burson
    • And many others.

    4. Fiver

One of the innocent Cartoon Network’s cartoon characters in the animation world is the Fiver. A sweet and innocent rabbit hero of Watership Down. The voice-over of this animated character is done by Richer Briers, who has the nicest voice in the history of the Earth. The best thing about this character is that despite the depressive slog of Watership Down, heartbreaking dog attacks, and environmental destruction, he is able to retain his innocence throughout the previous journey.

When you watch this cartoon series, you will surely be impressed by Fiver’s innocence, cuteness, and fragility. He keeps blaming himself for the Watership Down. Another remarkable thing about this cartoon is Fiver’s unbreakable trust in his brother Hazel, who carries him through the entire journey.

    5. Courage the Cowardly Dog

During the early 2000s, there were many shows introduced in the animation world. Not all of them are funny or fantasy-based; some of them are based on a scary theme. Courage the Cowardly Dog was one of these shows, which is based on scary monsters. This show revolves around a pink walking dog; we lived in a wooden shack in the middle of nowhere with his two owners:

    • A kind, old, and fat lady named Muriel.
    • The husband of Muriel, who hates Courage’s guts.

In every episode of this show, some bizarre monster appears and tries to harm or disturb the Courage’s owners, and he always saves them from these monsters. One of the most humorous things about this show is the way Courage tries to communicate. Another thing that makes this show great is the artwork and the animation style, which is surreal and creepy at the same time.

    6. Scooby-Doo

Like the Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo is another famous cartoon series of the early twenty century. Joe Ruby and Ken Spears created this Cartoon Network character dog. This series was first aired in the 1960s, and during this time it influenced many things, including:

    • A mystery machine
    • A character, Shaggy, resembles to hippie
    • The Beatles’ music is played during the chase scenes.

If we said that this is the best detective cartoon of all time, then it wouldn’t be wrong. The story plot of this show is based on the four teenagers with Shaggy’s talking dog named Scooby. These young people usually investigate the crimes that occur around the city.

The twist in this cartoon is that the crime was always committed by some monster, which makes this series mysterious and scary. On a normal day, they hear that a crime has been committed, start investigating the crime scene, find out that the crime was committed by a monster, and do a final fight during which they capture the monster.

    7. Dexter’s Laboratory

If you are a child of the late 90s or early 2000s, you would surely remember growing up watching this show. The story of this cartoon revolves around a boy who is an incredible genius and has his hidden laboratory behind the bookshelves of his room. His elder sister, Dee Dee, is the only person who knows about this lab.  Dexter often does experiments in his laboratory, which is often ruined by his sister, who only comes to annoy him.

Dexter often finds himself in weird situations like permanently trapping himself in a bubble, growing a long beard, making a fake mom to do his chores, and many more. Most of the time, these situations lead them into chaos and sometimes permanently lock them out of the lab. The best thing about this show is that it is short, and there are no unnecessary plot twists or extensions of the scenes.

    Which Cartoon has Seven Characters?

Snow White and the seven dwarfs is one of the most incredible Disney cartoon movies, which has one main lead and the seven other dwarf cartoon characters. This movie was released in 1937, and since then, it has been one of the most-watched Disney films. The seven supporting dwarf characters include:

    • Bashful: As the name suggests, the Bashful is the most shy, innocent, and generally sweet character of this film.
    • Doc: He is the leader of all seven dwarfs, who usually gives the orders to the other. He is kind, practical, and sensible; that’s why all the dwarfs obey his order except Grumpy, a stubborn one.
    • Dopey: He is the youngest among all the dwarfs, and is playful, silly, and childlike in nature.
    • Grumpy: Grumpy is the ill-tempered and most stubborn dwarf who usually crossed his arms to show his displeasure and disagreement.
    • Happy: He is the most cherished and joyful cartoon character among the seven dwarfs. He tries to pull humour and happiness from everything.
    • Sleepy: He is the sleepy head of the group who can barely open his eyes halfway.
    • Sneezy: It is difficult to get a broad idea of his personality because most of the time his ideas are interrupted by his sneezes. However, he is the most careful dwarf who urges Snow White to be watchful while going to work.

Students who want to pursue their careers in the cinematic field must write a document on these small supporting cartoon characters, depicting their characteristics. This writing process will help them to understand how small details build an outstanding character in the cinematic world. However, writing can be an uphill battle for some students due to poor writing skills. Such students can approach reliable essay writing companies in the UK to ensure the successful completion of this paper.
